"Affordable House- Floor Plans"

1. In this project I had to create an affordable house for a client with a family of four. The house has to follow habitat for humanity standards in my case it has to be 900 square feet because it has two bedrooms and has several more room restrictions. At this time in the project I have completed my dimensioned floor plan.
2. Bubble diagram/floor plan client did not choose.

3.Bubble diagram/floor plan my client did choose.

4. I learned that creating floor plans are very tedious and detailed. Next time I would start with my restricted boundry (900 sq feet) then draw in details instead of details and romms then trying to work restricted area into the details. I enjoyed drawing the floor plans though because my lay out seems very habitable and my floor plan looks like it will be a qaulity house.

Shed Activity-Revit

1. In this project we had to create a shed based on certain constraints using the design software, Revit. It included creating a gable roof, siding, and learning the basic materials that go into the average shed.
2.
3. Reflection: I learned that building a shed you have to have many materials to create a functioning safe shed. What was challenging in revit is that sometimes saving your previous drawings does not work. Also when building my roof on my shed Revit was not cooperating. Designing a shed is relevant because it helps me understand how to use revit on a smaller project like a shed instead of a house. It also helps me understand the materials and designing of a shed which can coorespond to the materials and designing of a house.
